Joseph was named as one of Kultivation Festival's Top 20 Filipinos to Watch in 2020. He was featured in an article by CBC Manitoba and an article in the Filipino Journal. The CBC article highlighted Jo's involvement with the Mabuhay District, a community-based project supported by Kultivation Festival that envisions a Filipino Incubator District for the City of Winnipeg. The Filipino Journal article highlighted Jo's professional work with Play and his community work with Kultivation Festival, Folklorama, and Magdaragat Philippines Inc.
